Apr. 14th, 2016 11:14 pm☄ Notes ♚ BACKGROUND: Rizhao is a game NPC/OC from ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png){kind=small} eachdraidh. One of the last two living native dragons, she was hatched from an egg in the first year of the game by Mako (![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png){kind=small} jaywalks). A few months after she was born, she gained a human form through mod involvement (log), and some time after that gained the ability to switch freely between a human and dragon form. ♚ SPECIFICS: To be determined. ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: Child, dragon. Most of the time, Rizhao looks like a human child around three or four, with a slight build and and an energetic demeanour. Most of her features reflect her human "parents" in the Draubworld, Mako and Korra. She has Mako's straight, narrow nose and small chin, and Korra's expressive mouth and eyes, though they are gold like Mako's. Her hair is black and thick with a slight curl; though her caretakers have tried braiding it to keep it under control, it often escapes in wisps of curls, framing her face and falling out of the ribbons that hold the braids together. In moments of desperation, someone can tuck it all back in a headband or bandana. Without the transfiguration charm necklace she has, Rizhao's unaltered features are still distinctly non-human. Golden scale patterns wash over her cheekbones and brow lines; her eyes are bright green and slightly luminous with both green irises and sclera, and vertical pupils much like a cat's; nested in her hair, which is now clearly dark green, are a pair of juvenile antlers, no longer than two and a half inches from base to tip. Her dragon form, which she can take at will, is much like the dragons of the Avatar world. She is an iridescent shade of jade green and nearly fifty feet long from her nose to the end of her tail. Her tail is about half of her total length, and her body and neck both make up the remaining half in two separate quarters. Though her body is snakelike, she has leathery wings and and a mane of golden fur around her face, as well as trailing down her spine and ending in a feathery tip on her tail. Her horns are still juvenile like they are in her human-dragon shape, and haven't even begun to branch off into their first pair of tines. ♚ FASHION: Mostly blue clothes in a combination of styles native to the Draubworld and the Four Nations. Lots of protective charms embroidered into the fabrics. Her feet are constantly dirty from abandoning any shoes they try to make her wear, except in weather where she cannot afford not to. She is rarely seen without the red scarf she inherited from Mako, either worn properly or wrapped around her waist as a makeshift sash. ♚ DEMEANOUR: shes a happy little cat... er... magpie. Zero filter, but with a strong, if slightly skewed moral compass. A dragon is a natural apex predator, after all, and she is inherently Seelie by nature. Doing things for love or because it is the right thing to do are most important to her, and she likes most animals, the more dangerous the better. ♚ AURAL: Rizhao's first languages are the native tongue of Allaidh Darach and Four Nations. Despite being so young, she speaks clearly and in full sentences, though her vocabulary is still fairly immature, and she has a tendency to give people nicknames. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: Rizhao is a telepath! A potentially very powerful, but untrained and young one. She will instantly be able to tell if someone is trying to gain access to her mind, and can telepathically communicate with others simply by making eye contact. She's also capable of low level compulsion while maintaining eye contact with people. That's rude though, and she knows not to do it. (Most of the time.) For the most part, though, her abilities are manifest as a natural empathy and ability to manipulate other emotions. OOCly, I will never influence a character's thoughts or feelings without prior permission, and anyone who would like to opt out of having her read their emotions can do so with the form below. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: The dragons of Allaidh Darach are naturally powerful mages, capable of a variety of high level magic. Rizhao... Not so much. Right now she has rudimentary elemental manipulation (in the style of bending) and very basic light magic -- she can call light to any transparent substance in a controlled amount: a cup of water, a glass marble, transparent sediment in stone. ☄ Permissions ♚ CHARACTER NAME: What's your name man???? ♚ EMPATHIC UNDERSTANDING: Can Rizhao pick up on your characters emotions by making eye contact with them, and vice versa (meaning they will be able to feel reflections of her feelings as well)? What kind of things will she pick up from them? Is there a reason she wouldn't? I.e, do they have a lot of good emotional control, magical defenses, etc. The lack of an ability to tell how a person feels may affect how she interacts with them, but not much. ♚ EMOTIONAL INFLUENCE: Can Rizhao influence your character's emotions? Most of the time, it's nothing more than helping someone who is scared feel calm, or making a sad person happy. ♚ IMAGE SHARING: Rizhao can normally only speak mind to mind with people she is very close to; most others use a combination of empathetic connection and a low key image sharing to speak with people while she was in her dragon form, which struggles with human speech.
